Victor: Chris?
Chris: Hello Victor.
Victor: What are you doing here?
Pierre: Say hello to our new lodger, Victor. Chris.
Victor: What happened?
Chris: (Sighs) Sit down and I'll explain...



Chris: As soon as I got home, my apartment was on fire.
Victor: Shit... no!?
Chris: The door was shut and I put the key in but it was probably was unlocked. Someone might have got in and I guess it was arson.
Victor: Right, we'll launch an investigation into it, Chris. Do you think you know who could have done it?
Chris: Yup!
Victor: Are you serious!?
Chris: Rocco Mendez and Ivan Zharkov. One of them anyway. Either way, Luisa Santiago and I have never met, but she knows who I am now, and she wants me dead by the looks of it.
Victor: (Sighs) How do you know it was them?
Chris: They're the only guys I hate who know where I live. They want war, Victor. It doesn't take a genious to work that one out by now.
Pierre: So, I hope you're alright with things Victor, because Chris will be staying with us for a while.
Chris: If that's ok with both of you?
Pierre: It's fine with me. Look, I insisted. I know you'd be ok with it as well, Victor.
Victor: Yeah, I guess so.
Chris: I won't be causing any trouble.
Victor: Oh, definitely not Chris. I know you, you wouldn't be so stupid to do anything wrong under my roof.
Chris: So, no Ian. No Felix. No Rod... no Isaac either. Do you know where Isaac's been?
Victor: Ian said he could come in late, he had some things 'to settle', none of which I believe.
Chris: You don't trust Isaac?
Victor: No! I've always told you, I don't trust Isaac one bit. It relates nothing what-so-ever to your views on him though, I know he's your partner and it's bad if you don't like your partner, since you and him have been working together a lot recently.
Chris: I guess so, yeah, I like him.
Victor: And there you go, you like him, nothing what I say can change that. That's all what matters.
Chris: But, between me and you, and Pierre here of course, what do you think the next step is?



Pierre: You should really crack on and drop your masks to Marion now. That's only what I think though. You're the cops, you make the decisions. And I know you'll both make the correct decision too.
Chris: Hmm, what do you think Vic?
Victor: Let's just wait a little bit longer I think. Following the events of today it's The Blackjacks we should be now focusing on more than anything. They know who we are, there's nothing stopping us now.
Chris: Absolutely.
Pierre: Let's hope that bitch is behind bars before we know it.
Chris: Yeah, definitely. She will be. She won't last long.
Victor: Oh I wouldn't be so sure, Chris. She's a real nasty piece of work. Pierre can tell you.
Pierre: I've told him about everyone what's to know, with stealing the money and all from Marion, moving here. Ah, I hate her guts.
Victor: You've just got to believe, Chris. Believe what Luisa Santiago really is.
Pierre: Right, when we're finished eating, I'll go wash the plates and you can show Chris to his room, Victor.
Chris: Sounds jolly good!
Victor: Ok, fine by me...
Pierre: How's your food doing, Chris? You do like spaghetti don't you? Is it ok? Do you want something else?
Chris: Woah woah woah, you're treating me far too importantly here. I'm not a guest of honour, I hope. I only came here for somewhere to stay when I sorted things out with my apartment and all. I'm not here to cause fuss, as I've said already a million times. The food is lovely, Pierre. There's no need to worry... I won't be needing anything else at all.
Pierre: Are you sure?
Chris: I'm absolutely sure.
Pierre: Dessert?
Chris: What is the dessert?
Pierre: Apple pie.
Chris: Uhm, go on then, I'll have it.



Victor: Well, here she is Chris. Your room for as long as you're staying here for. I hope you like it. If there's any problems, let either me or Pierre know. We can fix those problems for you, or as always, give you another room.
Chris: You're far too kind, you two. But ok, thank you ever so much. For this, letting me stay. Hell knows where I'd be if I didn't have two great guys like you that I knew.
Victor: Well, goodnight then. See you in the morning.

Kiefer: What the...!?



Kiefer: Why on Alterra are you here!?
Chris: Sorry, I was just popping by to see how you were. Seems this is a bad time, hey?
Kiefer: No, no look. I'm sorry to snap at you. It's been a long day.
Chris: I'm surprised to see you here too... here considering you was out in Sanchester yesterday with Danilo.
Kiefer: Who told you that!?
Chris: Florence. Kiefer, is there something going on that you should be telling me about? She seems very lonely recently, it seems you've not been there for her much when its mattered most. She also says you've parted from Marion a little and you're not earning the money you should be earning from him...
Kiefer: I was only taking him to another bloody match, what did she think I was doing? Not all matches take place in this damned city, can't she see that? This is a world-class sport. We'll be touring the whole fucking Alterra the ways Danilo's going at the moment. I hope she won't get frightened of the dark on her own then.
Chris: Don't be this way about Florence, she's a nice girl. The way things are going recently, she doesn't deserve you.
Kiefer: (Chuckles) Oh, I'm sorry... says you who can't make the correct logical decisions and judge people the wrong way? You're judging me wrong, pal. I am trying to put all the time I can in to helping that girl achieve her ambition.
Chris: It seems working at Marion's restaurants might not be the safe option considering you and Marion have 'parted a little' from each other recently.
Kiefer: Excuse me!? What's got into you recently Chris? You're so fucking annoying. Argh. Go, go on. Get out. I don't have the time for this.
Chris: I'm not going anywhere Kiefer, not until I know what's going on between you and Marion, and it's not good. It's not acceptable.
Kiefer: Mind your own fucking business. I told you to get out of here. Me and Marion are fine... with Danilo's boxing career I've not had the time to see him recently, and I guess he's angry for it, but... go and ask him for yourself, he'll definitely say that I've just not been around to get paid, that's all.
Chris: I guess so. This is correct, yes?
Kiefer: Yes it's bloody correct!
Chris: Well, I'm sorry. I was mistaken. But you should think yourself lucky you've got Florence. She's a good girl. A nice girl. She's going to go far on Alterra.

Chris: Look, I'm sorry I bothered you.
Kiefer: No, stay a minute. I don't have much company now. Has anything happened while I've been away?
Chris: We did a job for Marion. Harland Wrightworth, ring a bell?

Chris: He was going to Sance recently, and was almost killed by Luisa Santiago's men.

Kiefer: First Luisa, now Richard? What's wrong with you?
Chris: No, no. Isaac told me. I think Marion or Gay Ray said something about it.
Kiefer: Gay Ray doesn't know anything. He just follows Marion's orders and barely comes in useful. Marion? How would he know?
Chris: Look, do you know Richard Dixon?
Kiefer: He's a businessman, came here a couple of times. Works with Santiago. He's in charge of her finances.
Chris: Is that all you can say?
Kiefer: Why are you so curious about this character, Chris?
Chris: Marion wants him dead.
Kiefer: Sure, he does every Blackjack member.
Chris: No! You're getting the wrong end of the stick!
Kiefer: How am I!?
Chris: What I'm trying to say is Dixon is the next on Marion's hit list, and I need to know all I can about him so I can get a clue as to where to find him and to take him out.
Kiefer: That's all I know.
Chris: I don't think it isn't.
Kiefer: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?
Chris: Doing what?



Kiefer: Interrogating me like some accused suspect? What are you, a cop?
Chris: (Sighs) No... I want to nail him before Santiago protects him. If Herbert was killed, Dixon will probably be killed next.
Kiefer: Chris?
Chris: Yes?
Kiefer: We didn't kill Herbert Major. I was there with Marion at the casino the night it happened. If anyone it was probably Santiago herself. You know them lot, maybe it was even Richard who killed him.
Chris: (Laughs) Richard? Killing Herbert?
Kiefer: Chris?
Chris: What?
Kiefer: You're speaking there as if you know Richard Dixon already...
Chris: I don't.
Kiefer: Oh so it's so untypical that Dixon might kill Herbert is it? I don't know where you get this stuff from. I spoke to Florence if you must know, and there's nothing wrong. You might as well cheer her up and take her on a date or something. She's at The Maras with Marion.
Chris: Ok, well... I will. Thanks for your help I suppose.
Kiefer: Nonsense. I can't be much help nowadays.



Chris: See you Kiefer.
Kiefer: (Sighs) Bye...



Florence: So, did you see my father?
Chris: Yes. He didn't seem so welcoming. I don't know what it is, maybe someone shit in his coffee this morning... he's not in great spirits.
Florence: Like I'd of guessed. You know he was at the boxing match with Danilo? Did he tell you he lost?
Chris: Who lost?
Florence: Danilo lost the fight. Kiefer was preparing him for it for months, and with that happening, it's quite predictable that the mood he was in was the mood he was in because of it.
Chris: Ah, I see.
Florence: Never mind. Thanks.
Chris: He didn't seem so grateful of my help.
Florence: He'll be like that. Perhaps for a while too. I'm sure he didn't mean it Chris, he speaks of you all the time and always says how good a guy you are for my sake. He says you'd be my perfect man.
Chris: Oh, I don't think so. (Chuckles)
Florence: He did, Chris. We both think the world of you. You've came into this family and made it good. You helped Danilo that time when he needed it the most, you was there for me when I felt down... you get along with Kiefer more than anyone else in the gang. How can you say that!? Come on Chris, chin up. We're all in this one together.
Chris: You're right. I'm pleased with that but... it just doesn't feel right.
Florence: You should be protecting us from that bitch Santiago. Not many people can. She's a tough woman for sure.
Chris: Well I don't know that do I? I've never met the woman.
Florence: Neither have I... but I know she hates everything about Marion, what Marion owns, Marion's friends, Marion's family, Marion's friends friends, etcetera etcetera....
Chris: Oh, I don't know. Why would she want to hurt you? You've done nothing to harm her. She loves this city... she loves its people I'm sure, she just wants things her way and people who do get in her way she thinks vice versa.
Florence: Do you know when you might stop her once and for all? It's getting worrying waiting here for something to happen and if you're going to kill her you better do it already.
Chris: Kill her? No. She's a wanted woman. The things she's done to Marion, she needs to suffer and think about what she did before she's dead. You know if you're in extreme pain you'd rather die, the same goes for her. Pain is worse for her opposed to death.
Florence: But you wouldn't hurt a woman though would you?
Chris: No. But Luisa's different to a woman. The power she has is unbelievable.
Florence: Are you saying women can't have as much power as a man?
Chris: No, I'm not.
Florence: Are you sure?
Chris: I'm sure. She's no ordinary person as despite her gender or her mixed elven race, I'm going to nail her.



Florence: Have you decided what you're going to eat last time? You couldn't decide last time and we got quite distracted I must say...
Chris: Yes well if that chap is here again today I'm going to confront him properly.
Florence: You can always see Marion about him.
Chris: That's not a bad idea.
Florence: So, what are you having?
Chris: What are you having?
Florence: Hey, come on now Chris... I asked first. (Giggles)
Chris: (Laughs) Alright, well... I can't decide... again. I'll have what you're having, providing there's no nuts of course.

Chris: Yes but, that's more of a starter dish than anything, isn't it?
Florence: Exactly.

Florence: We're having a three-course meal, Chris.

Chris: It's good.
Florence: Just good?
Chris: Why? You didn't cook it did you?

Florence: (Blushes) Well, thank you Chris...

Florence: So, Chris. Tell me some more interesting things about you. Where were you born?
Chris: I was born in Stillhon, why do you ask?
Florence: I'm just wondering. I thought you'd have the Sondon accent and I was surprised when you hadn't so I was always curious where you were born...

Florence: Well, I'm from Hudley.

Marion: Chris, tell me what is going on.
Chris: I don't know what you mean...?
Marion: Sure you do. Isaac came to me on Wednesday, I mean the news he gave me, I expected it you know but... not this soon. Although, I don't think she'd want to make a fuss about things.
Chris: What is it?
Marion: Luisa wants me dead. Soon.
Chris: What? I don't understand...
Marion: Rocco Mendez is going to kill me Chris. Kill me for that bitch Luisa, just so I don't come after the money again. That fucking bitch!
Chris: Alright, well... we're going to have to sort something out.
Marion: Yeah, and fast too. If she gets to us before we get the money back off her than we're fucked. And I'm not letting her gain advantage of me. You know what happened Chris? You know what happened when it all started out?
Chris: What?
Marion: Luisa and Rocco worked for me. They escaped Riberia from those bandits that headed into Realsella, moved here and worked for me. One day though they ran off with my fucking drugs and sold them on the fucking market, that's how they got the money. We stole it back last year, they got it back just recently.
Chris: No wonder then, we're going after her next.
Marion: Without a doubt. First things first, we've got to track down Rocco Mendez. And kill him. Then he can't kill me.
Chris: Luisa will have plenty more men that just him, don't you think?
Marion: Yeah. There's a few guys I know their faces but can't remember their names. Rocco will do anything for Santiago but she's got an assassin too.
Chris: Ivan Zharkov?
Marion: Yeah, that's it. How did you know?
Chris: I've done my research. I've asked around... Isaac knows some, Kiefer, Wayne.
Marion: Kiefer and Wayne? They never know this kind of stuff, or at least I don't try and let them find out, they've got work to be getting on with and less thought of worrying about Santiago's men. How do you and Isaac know more than what they do?
Chris: We came into this syndicate to make a difference, that's why we went into the casino and proved ourselves to you that night. We hate Santiago just as much as you do and we wanted to help.



Marion: That's good to hear.
Chris: Tell me, when did Isaac tell you this?
Marion: Wednesday night. He came here. Ramon, Wayne and myself were playing poker before Harland left. He's in Sance now.
Chris: Oh good, pleased to hear that.
Marion: And so Isaac popped by afterwards only to tell me that now is the time that Luisa is prepared to make her move. Did you see Isaac that day?
Chris: Well, as a matter of fact I'm not pleased with him.
Marion: How come?
Chris: We was going to break it to you together, a bit later, when you really needed to know.
Marion: Fuck off! I need to know as soon as possible... we're skating on thin ice as it is with her. I beat myself up everyday and my wife won't have none of it. Beating myself up about that day when I let Santiago and Mendez into The Del Bosque gang. That was such a major fucking blow when those drugs went, damn. Even as a man, I cried. I'm not a junkie, I wasn't sad over the drugs, absolutely not. I might be a criminal but on a usual basis I try to be a normal man, and I absolutely hate drugs. But it was the money that was the loss. Being a businessman, money makes the world go round. Money is more than just a treasure. And when it's a lot of it, hell...
Chris: I understand your loss.
Marion: You do? How come?
Chris: Oh well... I lost my house and had to resort to an apartment instead. Money troubles.
Marion: Don't worry. I'll still try and pay you as best as I can, so long as you help me get the money back. You're right, it is time to make the next step. We've got to stop Santiago. Now.
Chris: Couldn't agree more.



Marion: Where should we start though? That's the question on mine and everybodies lips right now.
Chris: Don't you want to kill Rocco Mendez?
Marion: Yeah. That's it. I forgot, yeah... him.
Chris: You don't sound so sure about that one?
Marion: Well it doesn't matter who gets killed first and who gets killed later... so long as they're all dead I don't mind.
Chris: Death is not the finest consequence Marion, you could also scare the rest of them off back to where they came from. If Luisa isn't there to give them work, what left have they to do?
Marion: They'll always come looking for me.
Chris: They're just in it for the money. We need to discuss this. Bring the top members of our syndicate together Marion, yourself, me, Ray, Kiefer and Wayne... bring them together so we can discuss this.
Marion: What about Isaac?
Chris: Isaac is for me to see too.
Marion: What's he done that he should be sorry for? You and him together make a great team and your sterling help throughout the recent troubles I've had, well... I just simply couldn't be where I am now without you two. You saved my life already. I owe it to you more than just money.
Chris: Sure, thanks Marion. But there's personal business that me and him need to see to.
Marion: Chris?
Chris: Yes, Marion?
Marion: We're all family now, you were accepted into this club and so I expect you to stick by it because believe me my friend, if you betray us... you'll have us all coming after you. You wouldn't stand a chance. Your problems are now my problems.
Chris: Oh yeah? But are your problems ours?
Marion: ...
Chris: They're not Marion, are they?



Marion: I'll tell you what is and isn't important for you to know Marion. I'm the boss here, not you.
Chris: Sure yeah, I'll just get back to Florence.
Marion: Thanks Chris, like I said, you're extremely beneficial for this syndicate. More than.

Marion: Talk with Isaac, once you and him are on good terms again, bring him with you when we discuss the topic of stopping Santiago.

Chris: Sorry about that after the starter when Marion pulled me back...
Florence: I guess this business is more important than me huh?
Chris: Florence, stop this. Nobody is going against you or anything, but this was important. This needed to be seen too.
Florence: Yeah, sure it did. Just like everything.
Chris: Florence, we've only been seeing each other a couple of weeks and this is how you treat me? Do you even know what it was about?

Chris: Luisa Santiago is going to kill Marion.

Chris: Unfortunately Luisa Santiago isn't a woman to give in like that Florence. She's one in a million who actually has a cold heart and the courage to kill a powerful man like Marion. I think she might just succeed if we don't do anything.
Florence: Oh... please do something. I mean not just for me and my culinary career, Kiefer and Marion I guess are good friends again and losing him would have a massive effect on our family. We've had enough sad losses along the way.
Chris: I know Florence, I know. I'll try my best to stop them.

Chris: It most definitely has. Do you want me to drive you home?
Florence: No, no. I can make my own way there by taxi, I think.

Florence: No, no. Honestly, I'll be ok. You've done enough for me these past few weeks Chris. It's time I paid my debt.



Chris: You've not caused any fuss Florence. None at all.
Florence: I know this is maybe too soon but, I've not had a great past with men and ever since I met you on that day, I've began to grow close to you, honestly. Even after a few weeks I trust you more than any of those men. It's as if you're there all the time when I need you most. Even doing gangster business with Marion, you work your way around it and you're here constantly. I trust you Chris, so pleased don't get yourself killed.

You could go down for a very long time but since you're a cop it seems, why not let me deal with you now so your best friend Ian doesn't have to do it for you? Huh, that'd be hard would'nt it?
