Episode Twelve (12), Part Three (3)
Rod: I'll fuck it up.
Chris: You won't. It's easier than it looks.
Rod: Well why do you get me to do it? I don't understand.
Chris: Because despite your bad temper, your agressiveness... your strange fashion sense, you do seem to be in touch with me a lot, you're always there... you and Felix helped me out in prison and you know...
Rod: So why not Felix?
Chris: I don't know... I somewhat chose you over him. No need for questions, just be grateful you've got this oppurtunity. I can take it away from you, you know?
Rod: Yeah, alright. I'm up for it. So, where do we start?
Chris: Well, we're going to need to inform everyone that the wedding is tomorrow.
Rod: So I'm going to have to run around with you, knock on people's doors... phone friends. Tell them it's tomorrow?
Chris: Well, we want to keep things low-key, let's not forget here that we've got half drug lords and smuggling king-pins searching for us.
Rod: Oh yeah, alright. Who's invited then?
Chris: Well, the rest is up to Florence... I'm sure she'll have friends and family, and don't worry about her father, he was the first person other than us to know when the wedding really was.
Rod: Ok.
Chris: All of whom we're concerned to is Victor, Felix...
Rod: You'll probably hate me for asking this but... Isaac?
Chris: No. He's certainly not invited. The sooner he's out of the police force, the better. He's no longer a friend of mine.
Rod: Alright then.
Chris: And then, after that... we're going to have to think about getting us some suits.
Rod: And where the hell are we going to find them?
Chris: Well, whatever the case... they're going to have to be damn fine but... expensive.
Chris: How about this one? You know, pink tie? And pink makes the girls wink?
Rod: Hmm, not to my taste. Nah, I don't like that.
Chris: Pink tie in exchange for a pink shirt, now with a red tie?
Rod: Erm... no.
Chris: This?
Rod: No...
Chris: Then how about this?
Rod: Now THAT'S more like it... I think we've got yourself a suit, Chris.
Rod: You like this?
Chris: No... I don't really want bow ties at my wedding.
Rod: (Sighs) Fair enough...
Rod: How about this suit?
Chris: Better but... alright I guess. But there's better.
Rod: How about this?
Chris: Hey, I'm no fashion guru or anything but... white seems to suit you Rod.
Rod: It does?
Chris: Yeah, it really does. I like it. You're wearing that.
Rod: Okey dokey!
Chris: Hello Felix? Felix, yeah? Erm... well, it's my wedding tommorow. Yeah, you heard right. And that means its my stag night tonight. I hope you don't have any plans. You don't? Please come round. You are? Thanks. Yeah, I'll see you then. Bye.
Chris: Kiefer? Hi, I just wanted to remind you that it's my stag night tonight, oh... you haven't forgot? Oh, why would you forget? Booze is most definitely your kind of thing. There will be a stripper, but not for my entertainment as you would have guessed, so don't worry. Alright then, see you later... bye!
Chris: Hello?
Voice: Hello Chris. I'm waiting.
Chris: Erm, waiting for what?
Voice: For a decision.
Chris: You know what the decision is... if this is you that guy I met last night, I've made my decision. If you're REALLY watching down on me, then you should know.
Voice: I don't lie, Chris. You're really doing a dumb thing to not listen to me.
Chris: I don't trust you, I've never seen you in my life.
Voice: When does trust ever come into this? Wouldn't you want to take your chances? You might even be stuck here forever if you don't follow my orders.
Chris: I don't follow orders, pal. I follow my own orders. Now, goodbye.
Kiefer: So, I guess you're Pierre... the guy that Marion spoke about.
Pierre: And you are?
Kiefer: I'm Kiefer, I was one of Marion's gang members.
Pierre: What lets you into all this then?
Kiefer: My daughter is getting married tomorrow, why do you think?
Pierre: Oh, Florence is your daughter is she? I'm sorry.
Kiefer: Don't worry. I forgive you.
Pierre: But still, why does Chris choose to marry a woman who's father is a mobster?
Kiefer: I'm not a crook no more. I left that business behind for the sake of my daughter.
Pierre: And Chris never did anything about you? You're not going to be charged?
Kiefer: No. But whatever happens... I never killed a man. I hurt a man, but I couldn't live under the same roof as my daughter knowing that I was a murderer. That's why Marion got fed up of me, and lost contact... I wasn't no help... and after what he did, damn right... I'm pleased that I was no help to him.
Pierre: What did he do?
Kiefer: He killed a boxer of mine, I have a boxing club... I was his trainer, but then he went onto drugs and everything, I tried to get him help but, he wouldn't do any good for himself. He was Marion's step-brother, and he killed him purely because he wanted to get back after his wife for what she had done to him... ignoring him all the time, using his money as an advantage, you know... what happened was what you'd predict to happen when you've got a Riberican businessman festooned in cash while your wife was a young party blonde with a huge group of friends and the will to get pissed.
Pierre: (Chuckles) Indeed, Marion was quite the romantic type.
Kiefer: Money and chocolate came before his wife. You know, I don't blame his wife for what she did to him, because he always puts his money before her anyway.
Pierre: Yeah, he always did.
Kiefer: When did you work for him then?
Pierre: Oh, I was in the mob many years ago. You know, that's a funny thing. It's kind of like a deja vu in this city, with brothers. Although Victor is my step-brother to be honest, he was the cop, I was the crook. Just like with the Barker brothers, Rod was the cop... the Del Bosques' Wayne was the crook.
Kiefer: Indeed.
Pierre: Marion knew me. Although our mobs were different, I was the Don of the Voclain mafia family, which was actually one of the most notorious Sench mafia organizations ever. You know, the mafia wasn't really a big thing in Sance given we weren't all Jardonian. But I was. And I still am.
Kiefer: Yeah, enough of that... HOW did you know Marion?
Pierre: Oh, he did a few favours for us... but he used us to get to Luisa Santiago. And I know it all.
Kiefer: Sounds likely.
Pierre: I'd had enough. Victor twisted my arm somehow, but I was failing at the job, I didn't feel good about the line of work I was doing no more, so I had to make a change.
Kiefer: And what did you do?
Pierre: I ratted my family out to the feds. I got a couple years in jail, a lot more less than they'd have intended for me to have in there, all because of Vic. We're good friends now as well as brothers. He put things right for me.
Kiefer: Don't you ever still feel like you're a target?
Pierre: No, absolutely not. I'm the least of Marion's problems. He wouldn't have minded either way, whether I was dead... in the can, or alive. He's got too many problems of his own now.
Kiefer: Yeah, but those problems he's got include me. I'm going to need some help to be kept from his grasp.
Pierre: Don't worry, I'll help you. We're all in this together now... we're the guys that realized the cops round here aren't that bad at all. We'll always have them to vouch for us. It's going to be me, you and soon Wayne.
Kiefer: I doubt Wayne, he's going to go back working for them.
Pierre: That's fine... but I know these lot do intend to get him back in that prison if so.
Victor: So, is Wayne still going well in prison?
Rod: Fine, as far as I see it.
Victor: He made a decision yet?
Rod: No...
Victor: Oh, that's a pity.
Rod: That's why I'm giving him time. If he makes a decision too soon we know something's up. I know he wants to get out of there as soon as possible, and he's barely going to trust me.
Victor: That's why you've got to go and keep visiting him. Feed it into his brain. He is better off without Marion.
Rod: But Wayne is a chump, and he'll always be a chump.
Victor: Not if you educated him.
Rod: That'll be hard. I'm not bringing him up as if he's still a child.
Victor: The trouble is he still is a child.
Rod: Wisen up, Vic. I have faith in him. He's still my brother. Don't try and put him down all the time. You know that when he killed Ian it was ACTUALLY doing us all a fucking favour!
Victor: To some extent...
Rod: Don't tell me you'd rather Ian be left alive!
Victor: Well, killing him? It was a bit harsh?
Rod: Look - I know why you're thinking like that. It's fully understandable. You've spent all those years thinking he had cancer and even though it's clear now that he never did have cancer and was just using it to cover up who he was really working for... you still think that it was really evil... cruel, vile to do such a thing.
Victor: Whenever you kill someone it's vile... they'll never live again.
Rod: Yeah, well... you don't know that Vic, do you?
Victor: I don't.
Rod: Well, the best you can do is at least sack Isaac. I haven't heard of any of that yet.
Victor: I'm going to try and give him a second shot at it.
Rod: What!?
Victor: The police still needs him.
Rod: ARE YOU MAD!?
Victor: I can get him back into shape. We'll put all what's happened behind. He's going to have to accept defeat to Chris but, the fact is he's still good in combat, driving... he's got skills. A bent cop deserves a second chance if he's not bent to the extent where he can't stand up on his own two feet while working in the police force. It was only Ian's fault. Ian used him, tricked him into thinking everything was going to be ok tucked under his arm, and that he was going to see him through. But I'm sure there was actually shock horror on his face when he heard who Ian really was.
Rod: ...
Victor: He betrayed him. Isaac's got nowhere to go. He at least deserves another chance. And no... I'm not bent as well. I'm giving him a second chance.
Rod: I've got a bad feeling about it...
Victor: I wouldn't do it if I didn't know what I was doing. Look - if he fucks about again, I will come down on him big time, believe me. Mark my words. I will. I promise. And I don't break promises.
Felix: Ah, still don't know many of these guys round here. All new to me.
Chris: Who?
Felix: The old bloke is Vic's brother right?
Chris: Half-brother. Pierre Voclain.
Felix: That's it. But who's the other chap?
Chris: Kiefer? He's Florence's father.
Felix: Ah! Right, I see. What's her mother like?
Chris: She's erm... passed away.
Felix: Oh, that's sad to hear.
Chris: Indeed...
Felix: So, is Florence good then? You love her right?
Chris: Definitely. She's a beautiful girl. Such lovely hair, face...
Felix: Yeah... I can imagine.
Chris: Eyes...
Felix: Yeah...
Chris: One million goldvessel legs...
Felix: Oooh, yeah... (Day-dreaming)
Chris: She's got wonderful lips...
Felix: Ah...
Chris: FELIX!
Felix: Wh... what!?
Chris: You're not dreaming are you? You don't intend on snatching her from me do you?
Felix: No, I mean... well, I can just imagine it... you're a very lucky man.
Chris: Yeah, thanks for reminding me. You know, if you're in the mood for getting laid, let's see what the stripper has in store, yeah?
Felix: Stripper?
Chris: Yes, I told you.
Felix: OOOH! I mean... oh, I forgot. Yeah, that sounds erm... that'll be certainly interesting.
Chris: I don't get you sometimes...
Kiefer: What a nice turn-out...
Chris: Oh, sure.
Kiefer: You got everything planned?
Chris: Not quite.
Kiefer: What!?
Chris: Don't worry, the rings will be on their way tomorrow and everything... the suits are sorted, I've got a best man and everything...
Kiefer: But what!? WHAT HEY!? What haven't you done?
Chris: Hey, calm down... we just need to get a car.
Kiefer: You've not got a car yet!?
Chris: No, it'll be sorted tomorrow morning. I promise. I tell you, I really have been rushed off my feet.
Kiefer: For a cop who seems to busy a lot, you certainly don't get paid much.
Chris: Well, I guess you'll have to blame the rise of inflation... the salary will always stay the same, but the price of living won't.
Kiefer: Well, despite your organization hasn't been superb, I've got to credit you for putting on tonight, the food looks good... I'm looking forward to tonight.
Chris: Yeah, so long as we just don't get drunk too much...
Kiefer: Yeah, I'll be watching you.
Chris: Just as long as you don't get too drunk either!
Kiefer: (Chuckles) Oh, you watch... I'll be good.
Chris: (Chuckles) We'll certainly have to see about that one...
Kiefer: Did you do all of this?
Chris: No actually, I live here with Victor and Pierre. It seems you've met Pierre.
Kiefer: Oh yes, Victor's half-brother.
Chris: Indeed. But Victor has now been made the Chief of Police.
Kiefer: So I heard...
Chris: Would you like me to introduce you to him?
Kiefer: Oh, sure. Don't see no harm in that! Lead the way.
Chris: Ok then...
Victor: Oh, hi? You must be...?
Kiefer: Hodgson. Kiefer Hodgson.
Victor: You was a Bosque I remember?
Kiefer: Yes, but no more.
Victor: It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Hodgson.
Kiefer: You too, Mr...
Victor: Hobbs. Victor Hobbs.
Kiefer: Nice to meet you too, Mr. Hobbs. But please, no need to be so formal. You can call me Kiefer.
Victor: Oh, I'm relieved. You see, I was going to try and ask you to call me by my first name too. So, call me Victor, or Vic... please!
Kiefer: (Chuckles) Oh, sure.
Victor: (Laughs lightly) ...
Kiefer: ...
Victor: Ahem...
Kiefer: So, did you prepare all of this then?
Victor: Well, with the help of Chris and Pierre, yes. Why do you ask?
Kiefer: Oh, no reason really. It looks superb. I must credit you all.
Victor: Well, thank you...
Kiefer: My pleausure. You've certainly spent a while on it.
Victor: Well, not really. Not when there's three of us to help.
Kiefer: Oh of course...
Victor: How about the bride? How is she faring?
Kiefer: Oh, fine... I think she's just having a quiet night in with a friend actually.
Victor: Ah, I see. Wish her the best of luck from me, won't you?
Kiefer: I will, thank you.
Florence: Oh Natalie, I wonder how the boys are getting on tonight...
Natalie: Me too. I'm sure they're ok. They won't be drinking too much. The man you're getting married too sounds handsome, he sounds reliable... you've really got a good man. I'm jealous, Florence!
Florence: Oh, thanks Nat. That's so kind of you to say. I've been searching for that happiness for a long time, and I've finally found it in Chris. I trust him with my life. I'm so excited for tomorrow!
Natalie: Let's hope he just keeps his hands off that stripper, yeah?
Pierre: Gentlemen, if you'd like to take your seats now... we shall now move onto this evenings entertainment!
Felix: Entertainment? Oooh!
Rod: It's quite inevitable as to what this might be, Felix!
Felix: I think I know what it is too!
Victor: Don't get too excited, boys. You might get a shock.
Felix: What? It's not going to be a tranny is it?
Victor: ...
(Everyone excluding Chris cheers and wolf whistles)
Felix: Oh my word!
Rod: Woah! Chris, look at this!
Chris: Erm... I...
Stripper: Well, hey there sweetie.
Stripper: Where would you like me to start?
Chris: Please, I'm getting married tomorrow I... don't really need this.
Stripper: (Giggles) Oh, well I better get you in shape don't you think? I'm going to show you what a girl can do to you when she feels NAUGHTY! Rawr!
Chris: Please, give the dance to someone else... I know what it is like when a girl can get naughty. She can be a pain.
Stripper: Oh don't worry sweetie, I'm going to give you a lot better than pain.
Stripper: Are you liking that hmm?
Felix: (Whispers to self) Well that is... certainly impressive to me.
Stripper: I think it's time we got REALLY into the swing of things, don't you think?
(Cheers and wolf whistles)
Stripper: Don't worry, you can touch sweetie!
Rod: Oh am I in the mood tonight!
Chris: (Sighs)
Stripper: Hmm... MMM!
Felix: I... I'm just... blown away...!
Stripper: Come on sweetie! You're not even in the mood? You're getting married tomorrow, you're supposed to be happy... and I'm going to make you even happier! We're in for a lot of fun tonight, boys. I like it when a boy takes me out of my comfort zone...
Natalie: (Yawns) I'm tired...
Florence: You don't think it's time to go to sleep do you? I'm too excited!
Natalie: I'm knackered. I'm sorry.
Florence: Oh! But I won't be able to get to sleep! I'm still excited!
Natalie: At least try your best, you've got to try and do things normally... or else it's going to go wrong. You need some rest. You've got a REAL big day tomorrow girl!
Florence: Too right! Alright then, let's go to sleep! (Giggles)
Natalie: Yeah, come on!
THE FOLLOWING MORNING...
HOURS TO WEDDING - TWO AND A HALF
9:26AM
Natalie: So, do you like it?
Florence: I don't know... it's not for me to judge.
Natalie: What?
Florence: I don't know whether I'm going to look ok... there's too many people going to be there.
Natalie: Look - Florence. There's only going to be some of Chris' friends... the rest you all know well.
Florence: Does this dress look alright? It's not too tight is it, I don't want to reveal my horrible figure...
Natalie: Alright? Alright!? ALRIGHT!?
Florence: Well, yeah...
Natalie: Florence, you look wonderful! You have a lovely figure! You're beautiful!
Florence: Really?
Natalie: Absolutely! That dress is wonderful, it fits your figure so well!
Florence: I don't think I like it...
Natalie: Oh Florence, don't be like that! Have a bit of confidence girl, Chris is a very lucky man! He's going to be stunned by how you look, you're really beautiful.
Florence: Oh, Natalie. That's such a wonderful thing to say.
Natalie: You're going to look smashing today!
Florence: But why don't I think I'll look beautiful?
Natalie: Because girls like you are always like that! I was like that when I got married to Derek, you just need a bit of confidence girl and you'll be fine.
Florence: But it just doesn't feel right... (sighs)
Natalie: What!?
Florence: I got so used to bad luck and having nothing good in my life, I felt like death ever since my mother died. At one point I even wanted to join her given the other things going on in mine and father's life. I just don't... I just don't know. I sense something bad is going to happen.
Natalie: Florence, we all have ups and downs in my life, and for you... this is a bloody great big up!
Florence: You sure?
Natalie: Hell, I'm sure. This is going to be the happiest day of your life. Your mother will be looking down on you, I'm sure.
Florence: Oh... I'm excited!
Natalie: Come here love! Oh, I'm so pleased for you! I'm going to be with you every step of the way!
Florence: Thanks, Natalie. I love you so much! Oh, this is going to be wonderful. The first day in my life for a long time where I'm going to feel so elated. I can't wait!
Kiefer: Well Florence, this it. Your big day.
Florence: Yeah...
Kiefer: Are you alright? You look pale.
Florence: I don't have a good feeling about this one.
Kiefer: What!? Why?
Florence: Not Chris but... well maybe. I just can't see how I can be happy for once. It feels so wrong. It's like I'm destined to live the rest of my life unhappily.
Kiefer: Oh Florence... I know what it's like, but you're my beautiful daughter, you haven't lived a life if you haven't experienced at least one happy moment in that life of yours.
Florence: What is the actual definition of life? The meaning? To be happy? Nothing is perfect for anyone, is it? So why are we here?
Kiefer: To make things right.
Florence: If I come out of here today a married woman then... I've done the right thing? I can live the rest of my life happily?
Kiefer: Well, not entirely the rest of it. But you need to live your life to the full. Trust me, Chris won't leave you. You'll be a married woman. It's going to be ok.
Florence: You really think so?
Kiefer: Absolutely.
Florence: Thank you father.
Isaac: Oh man...
Kiefer: Alright Florence, come on... pull yourself together! You can do this, I always have faith in you. I'll be right behind you.
Florence: Thanks father. (Sighs)
Kiefer: Here we go then!
Luisa: And we've really got it all under wraps now, we know it all... we've not done anything. The feds think we're out of town. They think we're in Riberia.
Ivan: Ian did us all well, even though it's a pity he's dead...
Rocco: We can carry on without him for sure.
Luisa: Is Kaiser already there?
Ivan: He phoned me this morning. He'll be waiting at the airport.
Isaac: Airport? Crap... it's today. It's today. There's got to be something I can do. Oh... hell. I can redeem myself today. I can make everything alright.
Rocco: Don't you think before we leave we should do something about Wayne first?
Ivan: He's probably in the can now, the cops are that consistent.
Luisa: Unfortunately that's something we don't know. But it's not worth wasting our time over. We've got to move quick.
Ivan: And that prick needs sorting out.
Rocco: There are a lot of pricks to sort out, Ivan.
Luisa: If we get away, we've got the money... we know what we want to know, we can send out some guys from the comfort of a beach in the next week while they're popping those bastard cops... especially that pair of Osborne and Noble.
Chris: Alright Chris, here goes. Don't do nothing stupid. Deep breaths...
Chris: Oh my... you look great.
Florence: (Giggles) Thanks... you look great too!
Rocco: Indeed. But are we going to finish Marion?
Luisa: Maybe we couldn't get hold of him. He's not going to come after us.
Ivan: Rocco's got a point, he could always come looking for us.
Felix: Well... she certainly does look pretty. First time I've met her... wow.
Victor: Hey, don't be getting any ideas!
Felix: I'm not!
Victor: (Chuckles)
Luisa: I don't know... he's got a bigger army now. The decision has been made. We've got to get out of here - and for GOOD.
Ivan: I doubt that.
Luisa: We don't need to come back. We've got the money. We have what we need. The Del Bosque gang is falling apart. It looks like we finally won...
Rocco: But, there's always a hope. We've got a few more hours here...
Luisa: What are you intending to do?
Rocco: We can try and get as much revenge as possible before we leave, after all... I hate to turn down revenge. That Osborne prick never did much to me but...
Ivan: Ian knew about the wedding. And that wedding... was today.
Rocco: Oh I say, there's something that needs settling here... it looks like we have a certain unwanted guest.
Luisa: Who?
Ivan: What? A human?
Rocco: Well, if you could call him that... the sick, nosey bastard.
Rocco: GET HERE, NOW!
Isaac: I KNOW EVERYTHING! YOU CAN'T STOP ME!
Felix: Well... I must credit those two. Even though she's kind of like my type... you know, I wouldn't mind giving that girl a go if she was single but... I reckon her and Chris are a perfect couple.
Victor: I'm sure Chris would be grateful to hear that if you told him. He certainly expects different from you. (Chuckles)
Felix: I know...
Rocco: Tell me what you know, cop... or else I'm going to have to do something that'd make you wished you'd have never came here. I'm glad you remembered the place...
Isaac: What!?
Rocco: You came here before. Ian USED you, Noble. He got you and that bastard to come here... you wasted your time coming here before, and you're wasting your time coming out here again. Because NOBODY... will know what we've said. Well done for remembering this place, but I'm going to have to kill you, BALDY!
Vicar: Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Chris Osborne and Florence Hodgson in marriage. Through their time together, they have come to realize that their personal dreams, hopes, and goals are more attainable and more meaningful through the combined effort and mutual support provided in love, commitment, and family; and so they have decided to live together as husband and wife.
Vicar: Love should have no other desire but to fulfill itself. But if your love and needs must have desires, let these be your desires - to melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; and to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; to rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy; to return home at eventide with gratitude; then to sleep with a vision of the beloved in your heart and a song of love on your lips.
Isaac: Fucking hell... what's going to happen!? I've got to tell Chris. I don't care IF HE LIKES IT OR NOT! I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME! I'M GOING TO PUT THEIR ANGRY REMARKS TO BED!
Vicar: Do you Chris Osborne, take Florence Hodgson to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?
Chris: ... I do.
Vicar: Please repeat after me. I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness...
Chris: I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfullness...
Vicar: As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you.
Chris: As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you.
Vicar: I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day.
Chris: I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day.
Vicar: Do you Florence Hodgson, take Chris Osborne to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?
Florence: ... I do.
Vicar: Now, please repeat after me Florence. I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness...
Florence: I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness...
Vicar: As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you.
Florence: As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you.
Vicar: I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day.
Florence: I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day.
Vicar: Ladies and gentlemen, family and friends... I now present to you, for the first time... Mr and Mrs Osborne! Mr Osborne, you may now kiss the bride!
Rod: (Claps) Bravo, bravo! Well done!
Natalie: (Claps) I told you'd do it Florence... you could do it honey.
Take this kiss upon the brow! And, in parting from you now, thus much let me avow...
You are not wrong, who deem that my days have been a dream...
Yet if hope has flown away... in a night, or in a day, in a vision, or in none, is it therefore the less gone?
(Applauses and cheers)
Chris: Thank you, thank you everyone!
Florence: Thank you, this is so perfect! (Giggles)
All that we see or seem is but a dream, within a dream...
Isaac: Chris! CHRIS! YOU'VE GOT TO MOVE!
Chris: What the fuck do you want? This is my wedding day! You was strictly not invited after...
Isaac: I know, I know... just LISTEN!
Chris: I won't ever LISTEN to you! I DESPISE YOU, ISAAC!
Isaac: JUST SHUT THE HELL UP A MINUTE! THEY'RE AFTER YOU!
Chris: EVERYONE IS AFTER ME, WHAT WOULD IT MATTER!? THEY'RE NOT HERE NOW!
Isaac: BUT THAT'S THE THING, YOU SEE! THEY'RE COMING AFTER YOU NOW!
Chris: FUCK OFF! I'M NOT GOING TO BELIEVE ANY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, NOT AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO ME!
Isaac: CHRIS! I'M A NEW MAN NOW!
Chris: Nah...
Isaac: I KNOW IAN WAS A CROOK! I HEARD IT ALL! I WAS A PRICK FOR VOUCHING FOR HIM, I KNOW!
Chris: And it's about time!
Isaac: BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER NOW!
Chris: OF COURSE IT MATTERS!
Isaac: YOU'VE GOT TO LISTEN TO ME! IT'S...
Chris: I DON'T CARE! CAN'T YOU SEE YOU'VE RUINED MY WEDDING DAY ALREADY!? I HATE YOU! YOU REALLY ARE THE WORST PERSON I'VE EVER MET ON ALTERRA! YOU CAN NOT POSSIBLY MEET A WORSER MAN THAN YOURSELF! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT!?
Isaac: CHRIS! I'M TRYING TO SAVE YOUR WEDDING DAY!
Chris: Nah...! YOU'RE TRYING TO RUIN IT!
Isaac: IT'S LUISA SANTIAGO! SHE'S BACK, CHRIS! SHE'S BACK! IN FACT, SHE NEVER WENT TO RIBERIA ANYWAY!
Chris: AH... LOOK AT THIS! YOU'RE GOING INSANE! SHE'S GONE! SHE DOESN'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING NOW! Listen... she's got the money... she's left! It's fine!
Isaac: BUT IT ISN'T FINE!
I stand amid the roar of a surf-tormented shore, and I hold within my hand grains of the golden sand...
Ivan: Alright, everything's set. I'm ready to do it guys...
How few! Yet how they creep through my fingers to the deep!
Chris: WHY!?
Isaac: SHE'S COMING TO THE WEDDING! WITH ZHARKOV AND MENDEZ! I'M SORRY, I'M SO SORRY CHRIS... BUT EVERYONE HAS TO MOVE! THEY'RE GOING TO KILL YOU!
Chris: What if he was right...?
Isaac: CHRIS! MOVE!
Chris: He was right... Malcolm Kaplinksy. That was his name. I've just had an epiphany. It's happening... Malcolm Kaplinsky.
Isaac: STOP TALKING! MOVE! THIS IS IT! I CAN SENSE IT!
Chris: I really was stupid...
Isaac: CHRIS!
(Crowd screams)
Isaac: CHHHRRRRRRIIIIISSSSS!
Rocco: Ready!? FIRE!
(Gunshot)
Ivan: Oh... SHIT! FUCK IT, FUCK IT, FUCK IT!
While I weep - while I weep! Oh good lord! Can I not grasp them with a tighter clasp?
Florence: I did it... I got happiness. At last...
Oh good lord! Can I not save one from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem... but a dream within a dream?
Ivan: Oh fuck! I missed him, I'm sorry guys... oh... we've got to get out of here! The poor woman... I'm sorry! DAMNIT!
Rod: Oh my... no. This just CAN'T be happening! This has got to be... oh my. OH MY...!
Victor: Luisa Santiago!? She's back... she really is. And she comes back with a fucking big bang...
Felix: No, no no.... this is awful. Fucking awful!
(Kiefer and Natalie both wail in tears)
Isaac: I guess I brought this on myself... if he never hated me, he would have gave me the chance to speak... it would have been all ok. But it was late. I did this. I DID THIS! DAMN YOU IAN! I HOPE YOU WENT TO HELL! LOOK AT THE MESS YOU LEFT BEHIND, LOOK AT IT!
Chris: Hey Florence... look... it's me! It's Chris... it's your husband... we did it Florence, we did it! We're husband and wife! We did it!
Chris: Open your eyes for me darling... open them. Come on, that's it... (snuffles)... open your eyes! Come on Florence, come on!
Rod: We need an ambulance... CALL A FUCKING AMBULANCE!
Chris: No... PLEASE... NO!
Rod: We need an ambulance, NOW!
Chris: SHE'S DEAD!
Rod: Oh... Chris... I'm so sorry. There's nothing we can do now. She's gone.
Chris: SHE'S DEAD! SHE'S FUCKING DEAD!
(Chris wails in tears)
Rod: Oh Chris, I'm so... so dearly sorry. This is disastrous.
Rod: Come on guys, we can't just mourn here... we've got to get revenge. Someone is going to go after her. Someone!?
Felix: I think you should talk about that a bit later?
Isaac: Oh, Rod... nobody wants to.
Rod: We've got to.
Chris: (Crying) Yeah... we damn have to get that bitch. I'M GOING TO KILL HER! I'M GOING TO JUST THE EXACT SAME AS TO WHAT SHE DID TO MY WIFE! MY WIFE!
Rod: Oh Chris, you don't have to... you can have as long as you need here, Chris... we'll do it for you. Don't worry.
Chris: No... I want to see her. I WANT TO SEE HER IN PAIN! I WANT TO SEE HER DEAD! DEAD! DEAD! DEAAAAADDDDD! (Cries)
Felix: Oh, man...
Kiefer: (Snuffling) Look Victor, I've got to come with you and catch her. She killed my daughter... I just want to see her the same.
Victor: Oh Kiefer, I'm sorry. I'm not having you going. You should stick with your daughter and wait for the ambulance. Ok? We'll take care of it for you!
Chris: DAMNIT WOULD YOU JUST LET HIM GO!
Victor: Oh Chris, Chris... please! Calm it down! It's ok!
Chris: Ok!? OK!? MY WIFE IS LAYING THERE DEAD AND YOU SAY IT'S ALL OK!? WE BOTH WANT REVENGE, HE DESERVES THE FUCKING RIGHT TO COME WITH ME AND SORT HER OUT GOOD AND PROPER! WE MUST DESTROY HER!
Victor: Fine... alright Chris. Fine, but... you both don't have to come you know.
Chris: It'll at least make me feel A BIT better! COME ON!
Luisa: Oh... bless the poor girl. We can't hang around here! Come on Ivan, DRIVE!
Ivan: Man... she just stepped right out in front of it... I had a CLEAR FUCKING SHOT!
Rocco: Come on man, it's ok. It's ok. They've got nothing on us now, it's a shame the wrong person is dead but... ah... this was a bad idea.
Luisa: If only... IF ONLY... THAT COP HADN'T KNEW!
Isaac: I blew it... I fucking blew it. I brought this on myself.
Rod: Well, we don't know that yet...
Felix: How did you know!?
Isaac: I went to their house. I remembered the place. I found it. Ian sent us there when Rocco was released. To keep us busy... I don't know. They was leaving today. They actually used Ian, waiting for today as the wedding... so that they could strike Chris when the time was right.
Felix: Oh, that poor girl... that poor, poor, girl...
Isaac: I did my best but... Chris wouldn't listen. Man I feel ashamed for vouching for Ian now.
Rod: Well, I hope you FUCKING do! This really... well this is what he did.
Isaac: I KNOW! I'm sorry for everything guys... I'm sorry. Catching you gambling Felix... reacting the way I did. Rod... the countless arguing. I'm sorry. I really was wrong all along. And I'm prepared to put that right. I'm going to kill Luisa Santiago. I'm going to kill Rocco Mendez... and I'm going to kill Ivan Zharkov. I'm going to put it right.
Victor: I guess she's heading to the airport!?
Chris: Oh... where else? Let's just get this over. Kill her. I don't care if I weep... just to get revenge will make me feel so much better. Florence would be looking down on me already.
Kiefer: She'll be happy now. She got happiness on Alterra. She finally did. Even though she's... not here... (snuffles)... you still both did it Chris. You did it. You fucking married my girl.
Chris: (Snuffles) And she's happy in heaven...
Kiefer: She always wanted to be with her mother... and she's finally there. She did it, Chris. You both did it. You made her more than happy. I couldn't be more grateful...
Victor: This is it guys... this is it!
Kiefer: I can see the car!
Rod: Anyone there?
Isaac: Oh... there's nothing there.
Kiefer: She... she's gone!?
Felix: Surely she's not...?
Isaac: She's gone. I'm sorry.
Chris: Oh... fuck. But I'll get her, Florence. (Swallows)... you watch me. You keep a close eye on me up there Florence, won't you!? I'll get her... just you watch. We will win... we can still do this... TOGETHER FLORENCE! YOU HEAR ME!? TOGETHER!
Victor: Chris...
Chris: Yes?
Victor: ... we need you back.
